PERSONAL TRAINER. NUTRITIONIST. ATHLETE. COMPETITOR.

Ten years ago, ‘competitive athlete’ is definitely not the description you’d give for Wendy Muckell.

ATHLETE WOULDN’T EVEN BE ACCURATE.

It wasn’t until she met the Cross Country coach at Nyack College that she began her love affair with fitness. Wendy ran competitively for the NCAA for 4 years. Even though she was just beginning her running career, Wendy performed exceptionally and took the Conference Champion title her Junior and Senior years. After college, Wendy stayed at Nyack as Head Coach of the Cross Country team, which solidified her passion for sharing fitness with others.

Although working a Corporate 9-5 job (coaching was part-time) provided the financial security every American desires, it didn’t provide the sense of fulfillment that Wendy so desperately desired – and the fulfillment she experienced while working with her runners.

In 2010, Wendy decided to follow her dream and become a personal trainer. She attended the American Academy of Personal Training in Manhattan and went straight to work for Equinox Fitness Club upon graduation. After a year at Equinox, Wendy decided to become totally independent and began building her own Personal Training business. She has never looked back.

Wendy likes to challenge herself physically. Whether it is a Marathon (she’s run 5), Triathlon, Crossfit Competition, or Bodybuilding (she took 4th in 2012 at her first show, went PRO at the WBFF Fitness Atlantic in April 2013, had her Pro Debut in 2015 at WBFF Worlds in Las Vegas, and is currently in ‘prep’ for her second Pro Show on August 27, 2016 in Toronto, CA)– Wendy likes to push herself to the limit. She is an extraordinary athlete. Physically she is capable and mentally she is unstoppable. Her drive and discipline while training for an event are unparalleled.

In October 2015, the Nyack College Athletics Department awarded Wendy with a Hall of Fame honor for her accomplishments while running Cross Country for the Nyack Warriors 2002-2005. Her plaque will proudly hang in the Hall among other extraordinary athletes for years to come.

Wendy brings the same dedication and enthusiasm to her clients. She not only works with athletes – she is proficient in training people of all different levels of health, fitness and capability. Wendy is determined to help as many people as she can – and hopefully inspire her clients to live a strong, fit, and happy life.

Nutrition is something else that really lights Wendy’s fire. In the Spring of 2012 she became a Certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Wendy is using her experience and education at IIN to help people live a more balanced life using Nutrition and Self-Care as well as through exercise.
